Help needed at our 5th Rubber Ducky Race!

In support of B.E.E.P.S. (Bat Education and Environmental Protection Society) we are fundraising by running 600 duck down the Trepanier Creek..

Help is needed as in the past to catch the ducks at the mouth of the creek.

At the AGM I suggested to have at least 4 fishermen in the creek to catch the ducks.

It is important to catch the first 10 ducks in each heat, and then the first 3 ducks in the final heat. Due to increased value in prizes we need to guarantee accuracy and fairness. If the water will be high again as in the last 2 years, a fence won’t work as ducks would jump over the fence line, or the fence would break down from the fast running water.

Please help us in finding volunteers as in the last 4 years.

DATE: Saturday, April 14, 2018

TIME: Races 11:00 a.m.-1:30 p.m.

PREPARATION: If a fence will be used, 1 hour

ORIENTATION: 10:45a.m.

LOCATION: At the mouth of Trepanier Creek, Beach Ave and Todd Road

PARKING: Along Beach Ave before the park

Please note the image of our poster from last year.

Thank you
